Up-and-Coming: Cio Designs
As you all know, I love supporting up-and-coming designers and labels. And to add another one to my ones-to-look-out-for list, I am pleased to feature a new label fresh from Dallas — Cio Designs.
While New York is USA’s fashion central, Dallas does not come too far behind. This metropolitan has a lot of new talented fashion designers as it can now be considered the ‘home of up-and-coming fashion designers’. And one of the rising star in the Dallas fashion field is thevintage-inspired fashion label, Cio Designs.
Cio, the creator and designer of Cio Designs, has a huge love for fashion and infatuation for all things vintage. But while she enjoys what she sees on the world’s most renowned runways, she does not see it very fit for everyday use and for everybody’s taste. For that reason, Cio Designs was born.
“I’ve loved fashion as long as I can remember, and I’ve been in the beauty and design industry since I modeled in 6th grade. Since then, I couldn’t wait to purchase the new issue of Vogue magazine… but I was drawn to the more classic, modest styles, the textures and colors of it,”says Cio. “As a Christian mom, I see a need for modest alternatives to fashion and trends. Mormon moms like fashion too, but many of the current cuts and hemlines don’t work for us.”
Cio Designs caters to women all over the world. Their collections are inspired mostly by vintage styles, Art Deco, and classic looks spiced with a dash of “preppiness”. Their collection aims to provide runway-worthy,elegant-preppy designs suitable for everyday wear - runway for everyday as they call it. And as far what I have seen, their designs will be a hit for women of ages 20 and above. Cio Designs will be debuting at 2012 Pin Show in Dallas.

Designer Spotlight: Designs By Cio- Cio Collections-
Fashionistas are already taking notice of Cio designs, a talented up-and-coming fashiondesigner creating distinct classic runway fashion for everyday.Blending vintage style lines and classic chic looks with preppy ideology for a modern understated drama. With a background in fashion editorials,trends and design this amazing new designer brought all that knowledge, and created her line calledDesigns by Cio.
Cio Designs are distinct,elegant are vintage inspired with a hint of preppiness and the reviews are amazing.
Her fashion show for those of you who live in Dallas will be at the Fairmont on Feb 23 and Trunk Show on March31
