My Studio Room
My studio is filled with fabric of all genre…I think I need an automatic air filter in here to pick up all the microscopic fibers which I know are fluttering through this room clogging my nasal passages. I changed my cutting blade today…I love that first clean cut of a new blade-no snags! My desk is full…buttons, pins, a plate with strawberries, one blueberry, and a couple mini fig bars, pencils, pens and post it notes to remind my brain of important things I know I’ll forget to do and maybe even read. Listened to a little light music by Josh Groban and my fashion music, as I like to it, while I sewed.
Today was a day of realization for me…why I’m doing this…designing I mean. I really do enjoy it; whether it’s a slow day or a fast paced crazy day, it’s what I love to do…so onward and upward…or wherever, but it’s not my life, just my fourth child. I made a favorite for dinner…an Italian pasta chicken salad with a three veggie pasta flavored base…and the all natural “beets” flavor is so yummy to me. My daughter and I sat together for a while as I read to her. It’s one of her ‘American Girl” books, about her doll, Samantha, and how she travels to London and stays in a real castle…she loves it when use the English accent.
Okay, time to design again…
